What's the story with this site?

It could be easier to get information on areas to Kayak in and around New Orleans.  Since I am new to the hobby, it could be that I have not found the go-to reference site yet,
but I am often times piecing together information from many sites when trying to plan trips.  As I have found I have questions, I thought I would record the answers here - maybe
it will be useful to someone else who is looking for a new place to paddle.
